A food and beverage manufacturing facility in Jupiter, FL needed their exterior water storage tanks cleaned after years of atmospheric dirt and algae accumulation had visibly darkened the tank surfaces. The tanks are a critical part of the facility's operations. They couldn't afford downtime or damage.
The tanks are constructed from powder coated steel and are vented through the top, making chemical cleaning completely off the table. Any cleaner applied to the exterior could enter through the vents, degrade the resin stored inside, and cause the millions of plastic bottles produced daily to absorb chemical odors. The facility also operates within a secured, fenced perimeter, requiring careful site coordination with minimal footprint.

How We Cleaned It
We deployed a combination of hot and cold pressure washing using water only. Because the tanks are vented through the top, introducing any chemical cleaner risked contaminating the resin stored inside and compromising the millions of plastic bottles the facility produces daily. A water-only approach eliminated that risk entirely while still delivering a thorough, effective clean in a single working day.
01 Site Assessment & Pressure Calibration
Before touching the tanks, we assessed the powder coated steel surface condition and dialed in the appropriate PSI for hot and cold wash cycles to ensure effective cleaning without damaging the coating.
02 Hot Pressure Wash: Algae Removal
Hot water application broke down biological growth across all three tank exteriors, lifting algae and organic buildup that cold water alone wouldn't fully address.
03 Cold Pressure Wash: Surface Rinse and Finish
A cold rinse pass removed loosened dirt and residue, leaving the tank surfaces bright white and uniform with no streaking or residual buildup.
04 Site Clearance & Inspection
All wash water was managed on-site, the work area was cleared, and tanks were inspected before sign-off to confirm a consistent, clean finish across all surfaces.
